Harper’s Island Wetlands is a nature reserve on the north side of Cork Harbour. It is of international importance for its waterbirds which is owned by Cork County Council and is managed in partnership with BirdWatch Ireland and the Glounthaune community for nature, education and recreational use. It is at its most important for wildlife in autumn and winter so this guided walk will explore the habitats and outline the plans for the site and view the wildlife that is present in summer.
