Do you want to be part of something really exciting?
This year’s Cork Harbour Festival takes place from Saturday 3rd – Sunday 11th June 2017, and opens with Cork Harbour Open Day on Saturday 3rd .
We are now inviting event submissions for Cork Harbour Open Day, as well as for any other days during the festival.
This year’s format is; Sat. 3 June: Cork Harbour Open Day | Sun. 5 June: Cork City Marathon | Mon. 6 – Sun. 11 June: Festival Week | Saturday 10 June: Ocean to City Race.
We are on the lookout for all things maritime/harbour themed to add to the programme; water activities, seafood events, open days, tours, exhibitions, film nights, plays, concerts, walks, talks, markets… you name it!
In particular we welcome events which connect with the new Ireland’s Ancient East brand; integrating the many old stories of Cork Harbour as a maritime gateway, and Cork as a merchant city.
Last year’s Cork Harbour Festival attracted over 27,000 visitors and we are aiming to make 2017 bigger again! Your event will be included for FREE in the 13,000 festival brochures which will be distributed around city and county; the festival will be featured on the front-cover of the May Whazon (36,000 copies); it will be promoted through our website (new website will be underway soon) & social media; and an extensive PR campaign will also be rolled out. In other words, we will be working as hard as possible to make this year even bigger and better than last!
If you would like us to include your event, we ask that you complete this event form and return it to us no later thanFriday 10th February. Alternatively you can send us an email with your ideas: email@example.com
We hope that you will be part of the 2017 Cork Harbour Festival and look forward to hearing from you.
