Presented by: Cork City Council and the Inter-Departmental Marine Coordination Group.

Ahoy there matey! SeaFest is delighted to Celebrate Our Seas at Cork city’s quays from Friday, 7th to Sunday, 9th June. The national maritime festival, presented by Cork City Council and the Inter-Departmental Marine Coordination Group (MCG), will offer free family fun across the three days, celebrating all what the ocean offers.

Having been held in Galway for the past three years, SeaFest has now made its way to the Port of Cork. Coming together with Cork Harbour Festival, this is set to be Ireland’s largest maritime celebration.
With an expected 100,000 people attending SeaFest 2019, there are over 100 free family-friendly events — entertainment, music, food, tours, talks — to choose from. Something for everyone to enjoy!

Be prepared to see the amazing ways that our seas and oceans enrich our lives. Discover our oceans and the creatures who live among them with interactive activities, marine workshops and demonstrations. Climb aboard and explore magnificent ships and sea vessels. Savour the taste of delicious seafood cooked by our celebrity chefs, and be amazed by the science of the sea!

Get up close and personal with the Defence Forces’ military equipment and hit the water in a currach, sailboat, kayak, or dragon boat. Tap your toes with tunes from local music groups, all while you get your face painted. It’s endless fun at SeaFest.

Get onboard, and visit for programme details. You can also follow SeaFest on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, using the hashtag #SeaFest19.
